I am an integrative therapist, counselling in Midhurst, Petworth and London EC1.
As an integrative therapist I bring a range of tools and elements of different therapeutic approaches to my work. I believe that everyone’s path is different and there is no one right way to approach change and growth. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your personality and needs. People change, learn and grow in different ways and at different speeds. Sometimes just one or two sessions are enough to enable people to move forward and sometimes greater depth and time is required. Whilst some people benefit from talking things through in a confidential and non-judgemental environment, others like a more structured and goal oriented approach. We will discuss the way forward together.
I have also studies Positive Psychology which is the science behind how people manage to stay well and find happiness and well-being. Despite the name, it is not about thinking positively, which many people feel is either a sticking plaster at best, or dishonest at worst. The positive psychologists have identified a number of specific things that contribute to our overall sense of well-being and also some practical interventions for bringing more pleasure and joy into our lives. Many of these actions are incredibly straight forward and yet somehow, you don’t find the time. So even if you don’t feel you have any very pressing problems, counselling can help you develop your potential and live your life to the full.
I appreciate that choosing a counsellor or therapist is very personal so if we meet, and in the first half hour you decide that you do not wish to go ahead with me, there will be no charge for the session. If we are both happy, we will agree a number of sessions, goals and review points. These are of course flexible as many things can change during the counselling journey. You are also of course welcome to get in touch by phone or email to discuss anything on your mind.
I practice counselling in Midhurst, Petworth and London (ECl), or by phone, skype or email. Parking is available in all locations and public transport in London is brilliant, West Sussex, rather sparse, although possible.
