If you are really ready tostop smoking then hypnotherapy might be the answer you have been looking for. Hypnosis has helped many people become non-smokers. There is a catch however. Hypnosis cannot make you do anything you do not want to do so if deep down inside, you want to continue smoking, it won’t work. But, if you have made up your mind to change, then hypnotherapy can help you put your decision into practice.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnotherapy is a gentle process that feels very much like relaxing deeply. You will be in complete control of what happens during hypnosis and you will be able to hear my voice and “wake up” at any time, should the need arise. Many people have difficulty believing that they have been in hypnosis (they have, there are signs I look for) whilst others remember very little of what happens. The experience is unique to each individual.
What will happen in the session?
A non-smoking session is intensive and lasts about two hours. This is because the reasons for smoking are complex and it is important that I get a full picture of your smoking history and habits. Everyone is different and in the course of the session we may cover:
- Dealing with addiction
- Changing habits which no longer serve you
- Motivation and commitment
- How nicotine affects the brain and nervous system
- Dealing with saboteurs – some of whom may be close to you
- Handling any temporary cravings, should you have any. Many people don’t.
- The difference between a lapse and a relapse
- Plotting your path for future success
Your hypnosis session will be tailored specifically to you because your path to becoming a non-smoker will not be like anyone else’s.
